You know what you're supposed to do.
It's just not working.
You've read the books. Taken the courses. Built the funnel, written the emails, posted the content.
And still—something's off.
Maybe the strategies feel hollow. Maybe they work for everyone else but fracture something in you. Maybe you're making money but losing yourself in the process. Or maybe you're so aligned with your soul that your bank account is screaming.
Here's what I know:
You didn't build this business to perform.
You built it because something in you needed to be spoken, created, offered to the world.
But nobody taught you how to do that and keep the lights on.
Nobody showed you how to honor both the sacred and the spreadsheet.
That's what this work is.
Work with Carmen →I've Been Where You Are . . .
Twenty years ago, my second husband emptied our bank account and left. I had three small children I was homeschooling, child support from my first marriage, and exactly zero backup plan.
I'd been a pharmaceutical research chemist years before—loved the precision of bench work, the way molecules behaved according to rules. I'd left when we wanted to start a family because the labs weren't safe for women carrying babies. That was seventeen years and a whole lifetime ago. I couldn't go back even if I'd wanted to.
So I started my own business and became a virtual assistant. When clients kept asking for marketing help, I pivoted to a marketing assistant role. A couple of years later, I met Rob. He saw something in me I couldn't yet see in myself—pushed me to stop assisting and start consulting. To own what I actually knew.
I mastered spreadsheets, email sequences, and conversion rates. Got certifications in digital marketing. Became good at the practical stuff because I had to be. Eventually became a fractional CMO, running seven-figure launches and bestselling book campaigns.
But I never stopped being the girl who lit candles before church on Sunday mornings. Who got handed The Road Less Traveled and Living in the Light by the local hedgewitch and felt the world crack open. Who's been reading tarot cards since high school and still consults them at every turn.
I didn't choose between mystical and practical. I learned to hold both because my life required it.
And now, after a decade working behind the scenes of "successful" businesses—after watching brilliant, soulful people contort themselves to fit someone else's formula—I'm here to help you do the same.
The Wildpreneur MethodTM
A Regenerative Approach to Business
Your business isn't a machine to optimize. It’s a living system.
And like any living system, it thrives when all parts are in relationship—
not when you're forcing growth at the expense of everything else.
This method emerged from necessity, not theory. From years of navigating what happens when you need the money to work and need the work to mean something.
Here's how it works:
🌱 GROUND
Get honest about your energy, your capacity, your actual life. Not the life you think you should have—the one you're living. Strategy built on fantasy always collapses. We start with what's real.
🗺️ DESIGN
Clarify your offers and messaging so they match both your gifts and your constraints. No more trying to do what works for someone with different circumstances, different nervous system, different life.
🔨 CREATE
Build and test in motion. Not "someday when it's perfect." Not "once I figure it all out." Now, with what you have, learning as you go.
🌿 TEND & EXPAND
Release what's not working. Strengthen what is. Grow from a place of integrity, not desperation. Let the business become what it needs to be, not what you thought it should be.
This Work Is For You If . . .
- You're done choosing between integrity and income
- You've tried the formulas and they left you feeling empty—or broke—or both
- You know there's another way but can't quite see it yet
- You're not afraid of hard work; you're tired of pouring it into systems that drain you
- You want someone who's walked through the fire, not someone who'll cheer from the sidelines
-
You're not behind. You're on the brink.
"The magic doesn't work without the mud.
And the spreadsheet doesn't mean anything without the soul."
Ways to Enter This Work
You don’t need a master plan to begin—just a willingness to walk with someone who’s been through the fire.
The Illumination Session
A 60-minute 1:1 clarity session with Carmen
Maybe your launch strategy is broken. Maybe you've lost the thread of why you're doing this. Maybe both.
I don't have a script for these sessions because you don't need a script. You need someone who can see what you're actually working with—the gifts and the constraints, the vision and the reality—and help you find the next right move.
We'll start with what you bring. We'll go to what needs tending first.
You'll leave with clarity, direction, and your integrity intact.
Investment: $397
Includes Zoom session, recording, and transcript.
More ways to deepen into this work are unfolding:
seasonal intensives, studio circles, and long-form mentorships for those ready for sustained partnership.

Stories from the Luminous Web
Field notes on building a business—and a life—without losing your soul.
I'm Carmen Schreffler—strategist, systems-builder, and founder of Wildpreneur.
I live in the hills of central Pennsylvania. Most days look like this: strategy calls in the morning, hands in the garden by afternoon. Launch plans and tarot spreads. Marketing funnels and owl sightings.
I'm still the fractional CMO at Martha Beck, Inc., where I've spent eight years building campaigns that honor both transformation and truth. I've contributed to two New York Times bestsellers and multimillion-dollar launches that didn't require anyone to compromise themselves.
But Wildpreneur is where my life's work lives—helping people who know they're here for something more than just "successful."
The sacred and the practical, braided together. Because your life requires both.
If you’re ready to build a business that feels like you—rooted, resonant, and alive—you’re in the right place.

This is where I work out loud—building a soul-led business while staying human, wrestling with what it means to make money without manipulation, exploring what comes after capitalism.
For people who are spiritually hungry but practically broke.
Or practically successful but spiritually starving.
If you refuse to choose between meaning and livelihood, you belong here.
